Designed conceptually to be a mass produced product, Crit-Its’ messages are pre-conceived, pre-fabricated and disposable.
The Post-it, a ubiquitous tool already used for making notes and comments, was an obvious starting point. A little pad of shorthand edits and inside jokes becomes standardized comments, like editors notes whenever irksome design details are spotted. Crit-its can be used in design schools and public spaces, democratizing the dialogue and interaction that visitors and passersby have with exhibited works.
